The 10 most expensive suites in the world

I have a headache from researching hotels all day long – and some won’t even publish their prices on their site (thank you Forbes, et al), for fear of tyre kickers like me I guess.

But now I can reveal the 10 most expensive hotel suites in the world… And see which one would set you back $75,000 per night!

Here we go…

10

Bridge Suite Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

This 10-room suite spans the two towers of the resort with terraces front and back for uninterrupted views. Your butler and chef has their own entrance and you will sleep in hand-painted linens. You also get access to the Atlantis waterpark if you want to venture from your own paradise and walk among the people.

NZ$29,000

Ritz Carlton Tokyo

Relaxing in your bathtub on top of the world at the Ritz Carlton, Tokyo

9

Ritz-Carlton Suite, Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, Japan

In Tokyo’s Roppongi District, you can enjoy bathing in the highest bathtub in the city. It’s the view you pay for on the 53rd floor of the tallest skyscraper in Tokyo all the way to Mount Fuji and the Tokyo Tower.

NZ$29,000

La Cupola jacuzzi

The frescoes are painted to line up with the actual scenery outside: La Cupola

8

Villa la Cupola Suite, Westin Excelsior, Rome, Italy

The largest suite in Rome sprawls over two floors with a 12m high frescoed dome in the living room and a rooftop terrace. A private wine cellar is all yours, as is the fitness room and Jacuzzi in a room designed to look like Roman baths.

NZ$35,000

Your own private paradise in Greece

Your own private paradise in Greece

7

Royal Villa, Grand Resort, Lagonissi, Athens, Greece

This exclusive beach front, modern villa faces sunset views over the ocean. You’ll get an indoor heated pool and another one outdoors, fully equipped gym and butler’s quarters. The two bedrooms both have fireplaces and steam baths and there’s a massage area for when you really need to relax.

NZ$39,000

Hugh Hefner suite

The two-story Sky Villa owned by Playboy King Hef

6

Hugh Hefner Sky Villa, Palms Casino, Las Vegas, USA

While you can get a room for $60 downstairs at the Palms, Hugh Hefner’s two-story suite comes with a rotating bed under a mirrored ceiling and a Jacuzzi that juts out over the hotel for unhindered Strip views. You get the usual butler service, spa treatments, gym and poker room, plus an outdoor terrace, media room and space to entertain your closest 250 friends.

NZ$40,000

5

Penthouse Suite – Hotel Martinez, Cannes, France

When in town for your movie premiere be quick to grab this enormous suite with sweeping Mediterranean views to hob nob with your fellow rich and famous types. Two bedrooms with bathrooms, your own hamam and your own huge terrace overlooking the Bay of Cannes.

NZ$43,000

Atlantis Dubai suite

I whizzed through this Bridge Suite in Dubai. Here is the hallway from your own private elevator

4

Royal Bridge Suite, Atlantis the Palm, Dubai

For a mere $10,000 you can stay in an underwater suite, but if the extra cash is burning a hole in your pocket, take the Royal Bridge Suite with views of both Dubai from one balcony on the Arabian Sea from the other. I had a squiz through here last year and took a few pics. You can see them on the link above.

NZ$43,000

Ty Warner suite

Fancy a soak in this infinity bath overlooking New York from the Ty Warner suite?

3

Ty Warner Penthouse, New York, USA

A $50 million refurbishment of the 52nd floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in New York has spruced things up a bit. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a 360 degree view of the city. Get someone in to play the grand piano or a therapist to pamper you in your own spa.

NZ$47,000

2

Presidential Suite, Raj Palace, Jaipur, India

Designed like an entrance to a maharaja, this is actually a royal palace. Your four-story apartment has gold-leaf walls, a library, private terrace, a rooftop pool and gold and silver furniture.

NZ$52,000

DRUM ROLL PLEASE……

President Wilson bathroom

The most expensive bath you’ll ever have!

1

Royal Penthouse, President Wilson Hotel, Geneva, Switzerland

It might look unassuming from the road, but on the top floor is the most expensive suite in all the world. Its 12 rooms include a billiards room, piano room (Steinway grand, of course) and a fitness centre. Step through the bullet-proof doors onto the terrace which overlooks the lake and wonder what else you could have bought for this price.

NZ$75,000
