As a full time travel writer and blogger I pride myself on being pretty adept at packing a suitcase and ensuring I wear everything at least once. There’s nothing that irks me more than returning with some unworn items that have enjoyed a free holiday on my dime!
And when it comes to shoes, I am thoroughly ruthless. I don’t want to sacrifice looks for comfort, but sometimes needs must and I take a sensible “functional” shoe over something that looks cute and just try not to look down.
So when Ziera approached me to let me chose any shoe from their new range, I was thrilled to find a really great shoe for travelling that ticked the comfort AND look boxes. Allow me to introduce this little number: Lido by Ziera
Not only is this little shoe oh-so cute, she’s also so on trend being metallic and is equally at home with pants, skirts, shift dresses and leggings, and what’s more – she is so damn comfortable!
Some of you who are long time readers of my blog will know that this time last year I had been suffering from plantar fasciitis for about a year and reviewed some Ziera shoes then that were great for pounding the streets of Europe all day. I am happy to report that this painful tendon condition is now gone (thanks to another year of popping orthotics into all my shoes and boots), but this little Lido also has just enough structure to support my high instep without needing a separate insert.
The Lido’s silver upper is also made with such soft leather that she was a little star right from the start and even without socks the leather sole made for non-stinky feet when kicked off at the end of a weary day.
So this little silver shoe that flew has just been on holiday!
She lived it up on the Golden Gate Bridge, posed at the Bean and shopped on Rodeo Drive. She served every purpose from going out for a casual pizza dinner to strutting her stuff in boutique hotels to drinking with the beautiful people at a rooftop bar in LA.
