I tried the edible coffee cup!

Edible coffee cups on the plane? Whaaat!

Air New Zealand announced they are partnering with an Auckland-based company called Twiice who make edible coffee cups, so as it would be rude not to try them out, I had them send me some!

Switching to plant-based, and now these edible cups, is expected to prevent around 15 million cups from going from the airline to landfill annually. Air New Zealand is also encouraging customers to bring their own reusable cups on board aircraft and into its lounges. I already take my own water bottle on, but this is a great idea to bring a travel cup.

But the big question is, how long will they last before they dissolve into a mess of hot coffee? So I brewed up a Nespresso and put the little cup the test….

Check out my little video demonstration and see how it goes!
