Grab amazing discounts on Waiheke Island

For a limited time, 47 businesses on Waiheke Island are offering a bunch of fab deals!

It’s winter in New Zealand, and that means a lot of hospo and accommodation businesses slow down. And as if that wasn’t hard enough, there’s a recession kicking our butts too!

So what’s a destination to do about that? Why, get everyone together to offer deals and stick them in a booklet!

That’s what they’ve done on Waiheke Island, and from 1 June to 20 October 2024 (into spring), you can buy the Waiheke Island Winter Passport for NZ$60 and redeem as many as you like.

Accommodation deals range from stay 3 pay for 2 nights. Get a restaurant voucher with your stay. Take $50 off per night in holidays rentals.

You can rent a car for 3 days and pay for 2, or take a 15% discount. Get deals on wine tastings and tours, ebikes and EcoZip.

Restaurants and wineries are offering all sorts of deals too, like a complimentary dessert at Cable Bay with every Big Plate main course, or $25 off the cheese and chocolate board with two wine tastings at Mudbrick. Two wine tastings for the price of 1 at Passage Rock, and buy 2 get 2 free on the Taste and Graze package at Waiheke Distilling Co. Plus loads more!

Here are my favourite Waiheke wineries to visit when you come over.

If you need an excuse for a quick winter getaway, then put Waiheke on your radar. It’s only 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland, has over 30 wineries, loads of activities, gorgeous beaches for walks along – or swimming if you’re brave enough in the chill.
