Carnival Cruise’s tag line is the Fun Ships and with all the activities and nooks on board to hang out in, let alone the Caribbean destinations we spent sunny days wandering through, I concur. You won’t find a mobility scooter on these ships, but you will find an outdoor movie screen and water slide.

We loved the art auctions just for the chance to see an etching like this, hand signed by Picasso in 1934. Can’t remember what it went for but REALLY wanted it!

My sister and I set ourselves a daily limit of $20 at the casino. For some reason she always ended up better off.

On sea days the Venetian Palace is a comedy and games venue and at night it’s where musical shows are performed

60% of cabins have balconies and I would definitely recommend this so you can while away your afternoons in private. King beds can be split into twins.

By the end of the week this could be your towel collection created by your cabin boy each day. You can also attend a class and learn how to make them!

First stop: Cozumel Mexico. These folks wanted to be paid for a photo so I snuck one. We went on a kayak tour and roamed the town buying trinkets and drinking margaritas 🙂
