Ben Southall! The 34 year old ginga from England beat out 34,000 applicants to win ‘The Best Job in the World’. This has been a huge coup for Queensland Tourism and they estimate they’ve had $115 million of media coverage (incl this lofty blog) in their campaign to offer a 6-month contract for the lucky candidate.
What Ben will do is roam the islands of the Great Barrier Reef and report via blog and other media what’s going on. Sounds easy enough.
Sadly our Clarke Gayford missed out but made to the top 16 and was flown up there for an interview and a look around.
